Jobstreet Express Celebrates Two Years, Connecting Workers and Employers Across Indonesia

Jobstreet Express, a business unit of Jobstreet by SEEK and one of Indonesia’s leading job search technologies, marks its second anniversary of connecting semi-skilled workers with employers across a wide range of roles and industries. From October 2022 to October 2024, the platform has strengthened the country’s hiring ecosystem by delivering targeted, trusted, and broad access to the right semi-skilled talent.
Varun Mehta, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Jobstreet Indonesia, emphasized the scale of the opportunity and need. “More than 63 million businesses are registered and operating in Indonesia. Every company—large or small—requires talent, both expert and semi-skilled, with varied qualifications. That’s why Jobstreet launched Jobstreet Express, to address the market’s demand for semi-skilled workers in Indonesia,” Mehta said.
According to Mehta, demand for semi-skilled roles continues to grow as Indonesia’s economy remains on a solid, positive track, with Q2-2024 growth reaching 5.05%. Over the past two years, Jobstreet Express has helped reduce unemployment while supplying semi-skilled workers to corporations, SMEs, and local businesses nationwide.
Anrian Tamba, General Manager of Jobstreet Express Indonesia, noted persistent gaps on both sides of the hiring equation. “There is unmet demand from job seekers and employers when it comes to semi-skilled capabilities. Jobstreet Express is committed to focusing on this segment and connecting semi-skilled workers with diverse industries throughout Indonesia,” Tamba explained.
Now in its second year, Jobstreet Express has expanded its reach to more than 400 regencies across Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara. The platform ensures employers—including MSMEs and local businesses—can source local candidates quickly and accurately, supported by thousands of new listings every day and over one million applications submitted through Jobstreet Express in the past two years.
Employers across industries are seeing real impact. Haryo R. Andaridho, HR & Recruitment Supervisor at LYD Group Bali, shared the recruitment challenges his organization faced, noting that many paid platforms were costly in Bali. “Jobstreet Express offers more affordable pricing and features, along with talent that better matches our qualifications compared to other platforms. To date, 80% of our operational staff have been recruited through Jobstreet Express,” Haryo said.
Tri Wahyu Noegroho, HR Manager at My Kopi-O! Group, highlighted the advantages of Jobstreet Express Premium for a multi-branch restaurant network. “Since our restaurants are spread across Indonesia, I can assign which outlets need manpower and candidates can apply to the nearest location. The premium service helps us fulfill staffing needs more precisely,” Noegroho explained.
Putri Bayna, Recruitment Executive at MAKA Group (TUKU, Toodz House, Beragam Kopi Indonesia, and Futago) in Jakarta, added: “Recruiters often need many candidates in a short time. With Jobstreet Express, within one to two days we see a high volume of applicants.”
A similar experience comes from Anak Agung Sagung Debby Angandari, HRGA Department Head at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park in Bali. “Jobstreet Express provides a larger pool of candidates, and its summary system shortens administrative time, making the process faster and more efficient,” she said.
Jobstreet Express now offers Premium services designed to make it even easier for recruiters and hirers to access the right talent, in line with the #PastiDapatKerja campaign. This aligns with the platform’s mission to broaden job availability and help reduce unemployment across Indonesia.
The Premium offering also supports partner employers in elevating their brand among job seekers, streamlining recruitment processes, and signaling their positive contribution to expanding employment opportunities in Indonesia. For information on advertising Premium job postings, Jobstreet Express provides a call center via WhatsApp at +6221-5091-8452 or through bit.ly/jsepaket.
Rendy Budiana, HR Manager at Megavision Bandung, praised the quick activation and hands-on support. “The activation process for Jobstreet Express Premium is very fast, and the assigned person in charge is extremely helpful in guiding us on features and services that match our needs,” Budiana said.
Resty Puspitaliani Irawan, Head of People Development Division at PT Primaboga Nusantara Indonesia (Pempek Farina), underscored the speed of the premium service. “When we searched for specialists in a specific location, it was challenging. By using the Premium service, we secured candidates faster than with free options.”
Vivi Alfira, HR Staff at Hang Tuah Jakarta, highlighted a new feature available through Premium. “There is a video screening feature for candidates to introduce themselves and share their experience, which greatly assists our recruitment process,” Alfira said.
Job seekers can explore opportunities from trusted employers through the website id.jobstreetexpress.com and the Jobstreet Express app, available on the App Store and Play Store. Roles range from full-time, part-time, to daily worker arrangements, and are open to all education backgrounds, including elementary, junior high, senior high, and vocational school graduates.
By the end of Q3 2024, Jobstreet Express had posted semi-skilled jobs across sectors such as F&B, hospitality, retail, and logistics in major cities including Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Bali, and other locations in Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara. With an easy, secure, and free application process, job seekers can apply to multiple roles from a single portal. Employers can also post listings effortlessly at employer.jobstreetexpress.com.
“As we enter our third year, Jobstreet Express will continue to grow and add new features to reach more companies and job seekers across Indonesia, reinforcing our role as a trusted, go-to platform for semi-skilled talent,” Tamba concluded.
